A recent announcement by the coalition government regarding pensions may well bring more investors into the property market. If tax incentives are significantly reduced buying property as an alternative investment will bring more private landlords into the market. Whilst it is too soon to write a long article on this I would expect to see more property investment funds becoming available to everyday investors.
